As well as suggestions for away-days, club meetings etc. It was also an opportunity for individuals to become involved in the running and planning of the club and to offer their time in order to support and nurture it.
As a result of the meeting, and with a nod to The Who’s rock opera ‘Tommy’, “I’ve got a feeling 2016 is gonna be a good year”
Suggestion for photo days included trips to Tanfield Railway, a stranding on The Holy Island of Lindisfarne, trips to Yorkshire to visit Malham Cove, Goathland and the waterfalls at Keld, the hiring of a studio to for a photo shoot and another visit to The Farne Islands on our sometimes regular but extremely popular Puffin Run.
A number of our newer members also volunteered to give up their time to give short presentations around the subject of what drew them to photography and what their areas of interest and expertise are.
Following on from previous trips away to Scotland and Wales, there was discussion around the possibility of a 2 or 3 day Photo-Break to London for those interested.
The above covers only a small part of the suggestions and ideas submitted and drawing on from them, it is hoped that our 2016 calendar will be soon filled.
