Snow had recently fallen creating such challenges as compensating for the camera's metering system being fooled by the highly reflective tones of the white snow or lenses fogging up after moving from the warm community centre into the cold. However, as ever whatever the question or problem, there was someone at hand to offer expert hints, tips and advice.
Again the diverse interests of the members became apparent as some got out their torches for a little light painting, whilst others took advantage of the nearby roads to tone their long exposure light trails.
The evening also demonstrated that you don’t need to travel far to find interesting and challenging subjects to photograph.
