Newcastle/Gateshead Quayside - December 2011
_The club members met on a freezing cold morning at the Baltic Centre on the north bank of the river on Sunday 18 December.
The obvious starting point was the Millennium Bridge with Mal bringing out his fish-eye lens and the rest of the group having to stay well back so we weren't caught in the shot. After photographing the bridge we worked our way up to the Sage, taking shots of the legal graffiti wall, St Mary's Square and Church, The Tyne Bridge and onto the High Level Bridge where plenty of shots were taken along the walkway and across at the iconic Swing and Tyne Bridges.
As we arrived on the south side of the river, thoughts turned to refreshments (well, we'd been out for nearly 3 hours at this point) so we headed back down to the Quayside via St. Nicholas Street where the usual Sunday Quayside market was in full festive flow. A quick change of lenses to allow for easier candids was the call of the day, but once drinks and butties were purchased that idea quickly fell by the wayside.
Another great, if cold, day out with plenty of photographic opportunities for all.
